How to use the Pomodoro timer
Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. Every fourth completed focus session earns a 15-minute break. Start each phase when you’re ready. Skipped sessions do not count as completed work.
Keep this tab open. Completed session counts stay saved in this browser. Reloading resets the current timer; Reset all clears the saved count. Sleeping devices and browser restrictions can delay the sound; on return, the finished phase is counted once and the next waits for you.
Can I change the session lengths?
Open Session lengths to set focus, short break and long break periods from 1 to 180 minutes each. Applying new lengths resets the timer and completed session count. Start each phase manually, and use Skip when you want to move on without counting a completed focus session.
The default cycle uses 25-minute focus sessions, 5-minute short breaks and a 15-minute long break after four completed sessions. For one uninterrupted session, use the countdown timer; to measure elapsed work time, use the stopwatch.
